Through the establishment of the Personal Injuries Assessment Board (PIAB) personal injury claims are now made to PIAB firstly for assessment. An application form together with medical reports from your doctors will be submitted to PIAB. The board will then decide on the value of your claim and make an offer to both parties. If either party disagrees with PIABs assessment then a letter of authorisation will be furnished by PIAB and the matter will proceed to Court.
